Octeasy for motor difficulties and keyboard navigation
The "Click easily" profile enlarges click targets, makes the keyboard focus easy to see and enlarges the cursor. The panel itself can be used entirely with the keyboard, and opens with Alt + Shift + A.
In the panel, choose the "Click easily" profile.
What the "Click easily" profile turns on
- Large click targets
- Strong keyboard focus
- Big black cursor
What your site needs to do on its side
- Make the whole site usable with the keyboard, in a logical order, with no traps.
- Provide targets at least 24 pixels square (WCAG 2.5.8).
- Do not require precise gestures (dragging, holding) without another way to do the same thing.
- Allow enough time to fill in a form, or a way to extend it.
The limits, honestly
- The widget does not make a site element usable with the keyboard if it is not already: it makes it easier to see, it does not fix it.
- Octeasy does not make a site meet accessibility standards such as WCAG or the French accessibility standard (RGAA), and does not replace an audit. What Octeasy does not do.
