Octeasy for cognitive and memory difficulties
The "Understand easily" profile gives the page more room, slightly enlarges the text, outlines headings, stops animations and offers read aloud, using the voices installed on the device.
In the panel, choose the "Understand easily" profile.
What the "Understand easily" profile turns on
- Text enlarged to 110%
- Wider line height
- More space between paragraphs
- Short lines
- Outlined headings
- Animations stopped
- Read aloud
What your site needs to do on its side
- Write simply: everyday words, short sentences, one instruction at a time.
- Offer an Easy Read version of important information.
- Keep the navigation the same from one page to the next.
- Write error messages that say what to correct.
The limits, honestly
- The widget does not rewrite the text: it helps people read it, it does not do the site's job of making it understandable.
- The quality of read aloud depends on the voices installed on the visitor's device.
- Octeasy does not make a site meet accessibility standards such as WCAG or the French accessibility standard (RGAA), and does not replace an audit. What Octeasy does not do.
The other profiles

- Stay focused (ADHD, attention disorders)
- Avoid motion (Epilepsy, migraine, vertigo)
- Reduce light (Photophobia, headaches)

- Senior comfort (Presbyopia, ageing eyes)
